Tonawanda American Little League 2019 Volunteer Program Info
$60 Volunteer deposit was collect with registration fees. This is on a per family basis.
Families need to accumulate 6 volunteer credits to receive back their deposit.
Volunteer opportunities will be posted at our website, tonawandalittleleague.org, under the “Volunteer Opportunities” header. Each posted opportunity will list the number of volunteers needed, the scheduled times, and the amount of credits earned for volunteering. We will send out emails for certain opportunities, however, recurring opportunities such as Candy Stand help will just be posted and it will be the responsibility of our community to check.
Upon completing any volunteer opportunity, volunteers need to sign the volunteer sheet for the opportunity that will be at the Candy Stand and initialed by a Board member or Candy Stand supervisor. Once completing 6 credit hours a request can be made for your receiving your volunteer deposit back. The form to request the deposit back will be posted on our documents page to print and sign, and also available at the candy stand.
Several opportunities are also available outside of the Volunteer Opportunities page. These include, but are not limited to coaching (1 head coach, 1 assistant coach per team), team parent (1 per team), and Board member.
Reminders will be sent out on a weekly basis to those who have signed up for a posted volunteer opportunity. If something changes in your availability for an opportunity that you have signed up for, please email
immediately so that we may find someone as a replacement.
Any family not completing 6 volunteer credits will forfeit receiving the volunteer deposit back, and the funds will be put toward League improvements for the following season.
